"A triumph of ingenuity and innovation," "an important period of experimentation," and "distinguished for its innovative use of technology," are just some of the descriptions given to Chicago's architectural landmarks. In their own way and in their own time, these iconic figures were Destined for Greatness.

On college campuses across the world, professionals, students, faculty and supporters of orientation, transition and retention of college students use these descriptions as tools to design and define their craft while transforming ordinary individuals into extraordinary beings. Students arrive at university doorsteps Destined for Greatness to become world-class citizens, and as "we" rise to meet their needs, "we" too are elevated.

This fall, the National Orientation Directors Association will host the 57th Annual Conference in downtown Chicago to celebrate the innovative, experimental, and otherwise great ways that Orientation professionals, students, and allies transition students to college. Through interest sessions, motivational dialog, networking, and intellectual challenge, the conference architects have designed an opportunity that shouldn’t be missed.
