Review: The Voice of Việt Nam (Live Rounds – Đàm Vĩnh Hưng Edition)

As I have done in the past for the Thu Minh and Trần Lập Editions… this time around the vocalists for the teams of Đàm Vĩnh Hưng and Hồ Ngọc Hà.

First on the list: Đàm Vĩnh Hưng.

Now just like with the previous two teams, The Voice of Việt Nam have posted on their website the results of the public voting.

So just like the previous two teams, the top two contestants of the public vote get an automatic pass to the next round and they are:
Vũ Thanh Hằng who sang Thu Cuối (The End), she received 26.93% of the total vote for the team.

The second highest public vote went to Phan Ngọc Luân who sang You’ll Be Sorry with 17.92% of the total votes of the team:

So who got the coaches passes to the next round? He first chose Đồng Lan who placed third in the public vote (17.43%). She sang Je T’aime (I Love You)… yes you are seeing that right, she sang a French song made popular by Lara Fabian.

Đàm Vĩnh Hưng also chose to save Nguyễn Trọng Khương who sang Mây (Clouds). When compared to the rest of the team Trọng Khương received only 11.46% of the vote placing him fifth amongst his team.

So who managed to come out on top during the Sing-Off? Lê Phạm Xuân Nghi who originally received 17.19% of the total team votes placing her fourth amongst her team. During the live show she sang Không Cần Nói (No Need to Say).

However it is her rendition of Listen that blew the judges away during the blind auditions:

Which ironically enough is the same song that Trevin Hunte sang during his blind auditions that blew the judges away in Season 3 of the United States’ version of the Voice.

During the sing-off she chose to sing I Have Nothing (a Whitney Houston classic)… which placed her into the next round.

Stay tuned as later this week I will look into the final team in this series of the first set of Live Show Rounds: Hồ Ngọc Hà.
